A Palo Cedro man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend’s dog and then feeding her the remains has been found guilty on seven criminal charges.

A Shasta County jury found Ryan Watenpaugh guilty of felony domestic violence, stalking, felony animal cruelty for killing a Pomeranian dog, and false imprisonment charges Friday.

Wattenpaugh, who had been free on bail since he was arrested in September of 2014, was taken into custody immediately after the verdict was read, and will be held in jail until he is sentenced on October 16.

Watenpaugh faces seven years in prison.
