The man accused of killing a 6-year-old Sacramento girl and then burning her body on a rural Glenn County road was in court today.
Juan Rivera's case was continued until August 7th. He remains in cusotody without bail.
His mother, Lisa Burton, is accused of helping him try to escape authorities. A judge set her bail at $1 million Friday.
Investigators say Rivera was taking care 6-year-old Jadianna Larsen's while the young girls mother sought medical treatment.
An autopsy revealed she died from blunt force trauma to the head.
