Pacific Gas and Electric Company has scheduled a power outage for Magalia and Stirling City Saturday night while crews improve electric reliability on the Upper Ridge.
PG&E crews will be installing a new transformer inside the Centerville substation and the outage is necessary for crews to make the installation safely.
The power outage will impact 1,977 customers and is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. on Saturday, September 20 and last until 7 a.m. on Sunday, September 21.
In addition, 1,072 customers in Forest Ranch and Butte Meadows will temporarily lose power for a few moments while crews are switching to reroute power. The momentary power outages will occur at about 9 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.
