If you drive on the Skyway in Magalia, an interesting sign might just catch your attention.
Magalia Pines Clinic has now covered their sign with another that reads: "Closed, because of Obamacare."
Their voicemail expands on that criticism of the law, which they say forced them to close their doors after nearly 15 years of being the only clinic for some 1,500 Magalia residents.
Chico's Sweeney and Sweeney Insurance Agency says the reality is that healthcare reform is here and we all have to deal with it.
"You have to make the choice with what you have now as a reality: Am I going to take this? Am I going to change to accommodate it? Or am I going to choose to do something else?" Sweeney and Sweeney employee Cheryl Benjamin said.
Benjamin says Magalia residents do have choices in Paradise, whether that's Immediate Care or Feather River Hospital.
