Walter Pennington is not your average father and husband. He was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease in 1998 and it's been an uphill battle for him and his entire family ever since. After six years Walter was placed on the national list for a kidney transplant that was in 2004. Six in a half years later he received the phone call of his dreams, a cadaver kidney was available for him in 2010. After just seven months the kidney failed and had to be removed. Now doctors say waiting for another could take up to 10 years, time Walter doesn't have. Walter has had well over 15 hundred dialysis treatments. He will have to continue his treatments as he waits and hopes for another phone call. A call that could save his life. Over 116,000 people are waiting for organs in the United States and 95,000 of them are waiting for a kidney. If you would like to help Walter you can do so by donating to the Chase bank under Walter Pennington's savings account.
