Saturday morning in Oroville just after 1 a.m. Jeffery Reynolds threatened Walmart employees with a machete, police say.
While in Walmart Reynolds struck a women with the weapon but she was not injured, according to investagators.
Reynolds was able to get out of the Walmart and into a minivan that was parked outside. A high speed chase ensued through the streets of Oroville.
The chase concluded on Bird Street where Reynolds crashed into a gate and drove into a backyard. He then tried to enter a women's home.
Reynolds was tased and taken to the hospital, according to police.
He is expected to be charged with assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, false imprisonment and evading.
