Macedo wins big at Silver Dollar Speedway

Carson Macedo drove the Tri-C machine sprint car to victory Friday night in point race #14 at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico.

The 19-year-old Macedo, who started on the pole, led the entire race and won by a half-lap over second place Jason Statler.

Sean Becker, who is gunning for his fourth-straight track championship, finished in fourth place.

Two divisions, hobby stocks and economy winged sprints, crowned track champions Friday night.

Brian Compton, who came in second place behind Todd Cooper in the feature, won the Hobby Stocks championship.

Brandon Powell, who finished in second place behind Wyatt Brown in the main event, won the Economy Winged Sprints track title.

Frankie Guerrini captured the checkered flag in the BCRA Midget Lites main event.

The Silver Dollar season comes to a close with the final points race, the Tyler Wolfe Memorial on Friday.
