Lyme Aid Benefit set for Saturday in Chico

An evening of Music in planned in Chico Saturday, May 21st, to raise awareness about Lyme Disease. It's called "Lyme Aid" and it takes place at the 1078 Gallery on Broadway in Chico.

The evening will feature live music from LeAnn Cooley & the Cats, Bird and Wag, and Ha' Penny Bridge. There will be a silent auction, raffle, refreshments and appetizers.

All donation go toward promoting awareness education and advocacy about Lyme disease and other tick borne illnesses within the North State.

Lyme Disease is one of the fastest growing "hidden diseases" in the U.S. today. It has been diagnosed in every county in California. Symptoms can be severe and can cross the blood/brain barrier. Symptoms include fatigue, pain, joint pain and fever. It mimics other diseases like Multiple Sclerosis and is often misdiagnosed. It is transmitted by ticks.
