Some are calling it one of the strongest storms ever. And it could be one of the most deadly.
Typhoon Haiyan has completely destroyed some parts of the Philippines and it’s feared the storm has claimed the lives of thousands of people.
Here in the North State, members of the local Filipino community are very concerned about the aftermath of the typhoon.
Action News Now spoke with a local Filipino woman who has been in communication with friends and family who are in the Philippines.
“I feel so sorry them,” said Inday Geiger, owner of Inday’s Filipino Food. “There's nothing we can do about Mother Nature. It’s her way of getting back to cleaning up; its just part of the survival.”
