A new survey says the US public is tired of Middle East wars and that a majority of Americans oppose any attacks in Syria.
These recent reports show most Americans do not believe in sending troops to Syria. Here in Chico, several military veterans echoed those statistics saying while they are proud to have defended their country, nothing good ever comes from war.
“War is terrible. War, death and fighting—nobody wins,” said Nicholas Hanhart, a U.S. Navy veteran and current Chico State student. “I wouldn’t wish my experiences on any young people; which is who mainly fights in wars.”
President Obama is expected to address this issue Tuesday night.
