Local runners compete in Boston Marathon

Runners from all over the world were in Boston today for the 2014 running of the Boston Marathon. Quite a few north state runners were among the participants, including Ryan Hall of Redding, who finished the marathon in an impressive 2 hours, 17 minutes and 50 seconds, good enough for 20th place overall.

American Meb Keflizighi won the men’s race becoming the first American to do so since 1983, while Rita Jeptoo of Kenya successfully defended her Boston Marathon women’s title.

The following are all area runners who, according to the Boston Athletic Association, finished the 2014 Boston Marathon:
