Diners had quite a scare Saturday afternoon after a bomb threat was made at a Chico Italian restaurant.
Guests were forced to evacuate the Italian Cottage on Skyway Road and the restaurant had to close its doors temporarily around 1 p.m. while police investigated the bomb threat.
Sergeant Ben Love of the Chico Police Department said no devices were located and no guests were harmed as a result of threat.
"Clearly there was no explosion so it doesn't appear to be a legitimate threat," he said.
The restaurant opened shortly after the investigation was completed.
Anyone with information on the threat is asked to contact Chico Police Department.
