Earlier today two Chico businesses announced a new therapy program designed to help local veterans who have been wounded in the line of duty.

The Chico Hydrotherapy Center and Advanced Body Dynamics announced their “Healing waters, Helping Hands” program for local U.S. military veterans on Facebook Monday.

The goal of the program is to provide a combination of aquatic therapy and land-based exercise programs for local veterans at no charge to them. They plan on identifying a handful of local Veterans who can benefit from the services they provide and help them improve the Quality of their daily lives through customized 6-8 week therapy and exercise programs. Any Veteran can apply but those wounded in active duty will be given special consideration.

“Scott Amick and I have been talking about this idea for some time now,” said Skip Phairas, owner of the Chico Hydrotherapy Center. “We help people from all walks of Life improve the Quality of their Life every day – through his premier training studio, Advanced Body Dynamics studio, and at our advanced aquatic therapy and training facility, the Chico Hydrotherapy Center. We know we can “make a difference” for a few of the people who have sacrificed most for all of us.”
