Live Oak man arrested on suspicion of DUI following Thursday crash

A Live Oak man was arrested Thursday night after he rear-ended a family of four on Highway 99.

According to the California Highway Patrol, 62-year-old Donald Driver was traveling southbound on Highway 99, north of Kent Road, just before 6 p.m. when he rear-ended a 2005 Dodge Durango as it braked for traffic.

The driver of the Durango and his wife were both transported to Rideout Hospital with minor injuries, their two children were also in the vehicle and were uninjured. Everyone involved was wearing their seatbelt.

After investigating the scene officers determined that Morton was driving under the influence and he was arrested.
