"Little Shop of Horrors" opens this week at Oroville's Historic State Theatre.
The STAGE/Birdcage Theatre musical production is Directed by Kathy Neal, and features the creativity of creativity of actors and singers from Las Plumas High, Oroville High, Butte College, Paradise, Chico , and Oroville, with puppets made by Frank Eggen and Kathy Neal.
In this dark, wacky comedy the shy "Seymour" seeks a way to bring himself the flower shop he works at on Skid Row fame and fortune. He buys an exotic plant from a street vendor, and named the plant Audrey II, after "Audrey" the girl he loves. While the plant is good for business, she has a curious, insatiable appetite.
Performances of "Little Shop of Horrors" at the Historic Oroville State Theatre will be October 16th - 18th at 7:30pm and October 19th at 2pm.
It features 1960's style Rock and Roll-Supreme stylized girls and songs familiar to the audience - something for the entire family.
Tickets are $20 Adults and $12 for 18 and under and can be purchased online at Eventbrite.com, at Betty Jeans 1920 Bird St., and Aircooled 2816 Olive Hwy.
