DUBLIN, Ohio - Swedish golfer David Lingmerth has won the 2015 PGA Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club. Lingmerth finished tied with Justin Rose to force a sudden death playoff. Rose, who's coming off a Tour win at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans in April, fell behind on the playoff's third hole after failing to match Lingmerth's par.

Prior to his debut in the PGA, Lingmerth had limited success in the Tour with only one victory. He then came into the Memorial Tournament a virtual unknown, being ranked 115th in the PGA in 2015 after missing the cut at the Byron Nelson last week and finishing 33rd at the Crowne Plaza Invitational before that.

However, after defeating 2013's US Open champion Rose and 2015 Masters victor Jordan Spieth, it certainly puts some eyes on the Swede.

The win marks Lingmerth's first victory on the PGA Tour with many wondering if he'll see continued success.
