A Las Plumas High School teacher accused of having sex with two students entered a not guilty plea in court Wednesday.

Lindsay Himmelspach is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with at least two male students. One of whom was a student at Las Plumas, the other a student at Prospect High School.

The 33-year-old physical education teacher was arrested on the Las Plumas campus October 30th. She has been charged two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, two counts of communicating with a minor to commit lewd or lascivious acts, and two counts of communicating with a minor for purposes of committing sexual acts.

The alleged relationships came to light when an anonymous caller left a message at Las Plumas High School, prompting school officials to contact the Butte County Sheriff's Office.

The sexual relationships were "brief in nature" and included the sharing of nude photos between Himmelspach and the two 17-year-old students, according to the sheriff's office. The events took place over the 2015 summer break.

Himmelspach has taught in the Oroville Union High School District for about 10 years and is currently on administrative leave.
