A Las Plumas High School teacher accused of having sex with two students made her first court appearance Monday afternoon.

Lindsay Himmelspach did not enter a plea and was assigned a public defender. She was released from custody with orders not to contact her alleged victims.

The 33-year-old physical education teacher is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with at least two male students. One of whom was a student at Las Plumas, the other a student at Prospect High School.

The sexual relationships were "brief in nature" and included the sharing of nude photos between Himmelspach and the two 17-year-old students, according to the sheriff's office. The events took place over the 2015 summer break.

The alleged relationships came to light when an anonymous caller left a message at Las Plumas High School, prompting school officials to contact the sheriff's office.

Himmelspach, who has been placed on paid administrative leave by the Oroville Union High School District, will be back in court on November 18.
