After a two month investigation The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office arrested three men for allegedly growing and distributing marijuana in Ono.
Over the course of the investigation authorities determined that this was a drug trafficking organization that was operating under the guise of Prop. 215.
Yesterday April 24, agents with the Shasta County Sheriff’s Marijuana Investigative Team and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife served a search warrant at five separate parcels off Yolla Bolly Road, Cottonwood Creek Road and Roaring Creek Road in Ono.
Investigators found three weapons, which included a 9mm handgun, a 30.30 caliber rifle and a .22 caliber rifle were located during the search and a total of 3,185 marijuana plants.
Three suspects were located during the execution of the search warrant and were taken into custody. Baldemar Macias Pantoja, Cesar Eduardo Padilla-Guevara and Roberto Cervantes Romero, all of Mexico were booked into Shasta County Jail and charged with marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale, and illegal entry.
