Large Marijuana Grow Busted in Trinity Alps

Two Fresno men are behind bars following a raid on a major pot growing operation in the Ono area of Shasta County.
Agents with the Sheriff's office teamed up with the County Drug Task Force, State Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Inspectors with the County Planning Department to serve a search warrant on rural land off of Yolla Bolly road, in the area of the Trinity Alps Preserve.
Three large greenhouses were located along with numerous tents and outbuildings containing 633 marijuana plants, and evidence supporting marijuana sales.
26 year old Albert Samuel Venegas, Jr. and 38 year old Thavone Phaysamone, both of Fresno, were located at the scene and arrested on charges of Cultivation and Possession of Marijuana for Sale, and Conspiracty as well as county code violations. ###
