Two men are facing charges after investigators say they uncovered a large illegal marijuana grow on their Shingletown property.

According to the Shasta County Sheriff's Office, a flyover was recently conducted in Shasta County and a large pot growing operation was spotted on Shingletown Road, southwest of Shingletown.

On Monday agents with the Shasta County Sheriff's Office Marijuana Investigative Team and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife conducted an investigation into the rural piece of land. The investigation netted 1,049 marijuana plants and 541 pounds of processed marijuana.

Investigators also seized nearly $2,000 in cash.

During the investigation, detectives found Craig Van Cleve and Adam Van Cleve, both of Garberville, at the property. Both men were cited for marijuana cultivation, possession of marijuana for sale, conspiracy and water diversion.
