Drug agents seized the largest amount of butane honey oil in Shasta County history following an explosion and fire at a Remington Drive home Tuesday.

Residents living in the area of 4066 Remington Drive say they heard loud explosions around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters were able to knock down the blaze before significant damage was done to the rest of the home.

SINTF agents began an investigation after the fire was put out and during a search they found over 150 pounds of marijuana, burned butane canisters, about more than seven pounds pounds of concentrated cannabis, scales, and other evidence that indicated the concentrated cannabis extraction operation being conducted inside the residence was a large scale operation.

According to a press release it was the largest drug seizure of its type in county history and the street value of the concentrated cannabis is estimated to be $136,000.

No injuries were reported, however all the occupants of the home fled after they called 911. At this time no arrests have been made, and anyone with information on the case is asked to call SINTF at (530) 722-9161.
