Laptops, equipment stolen from Oroville school

Oroville police are searching for burglars who broke into Prospect High School and stole hundreds of dollars of equipment.

According to the Oroville Police Department, officers responded to an alarm at the school around 3:30 a.m. Saturday. They searched the area, but found nothing out of the ordinary.

Later that morning police were called back to the school by a staff member who told them he found school property scattered across a nearby field.

The burglars made off with approximately 20 laptops, and other school equipment.
