Lake Oroville’s water levels could possibly be on the mend.
The lake’s water level rose 1 percent, hitting 27 percent of total capacity, according to the California State Department of Water Resources. Historically, the lake sits at about 43 percent of total capacity around this time.
Recent rainfall contributed greatly to the water level increase. The rain came at a great time as the water level had hovered just above the record low for the last several days. Experts said the water level would likely not have lowered any further. However, the coming rain is expected to help it continue to increase.
