California State Parks is cutting parking and camping fees at Lake Oroville after several years of declining attendance.
With dry conditions impacting summer plans and visitor numbers, entrance fees have been reduced and visitors can use their credit or debit cards to pay.
Effective May 1, daily parking is $6, instead of $8, the cost of camping overnight is down $10, with fees ranging from $25 to $35 and enroute camping is down from $20 to $15.
The biggest savings is at the floating campsites where the fees are now $125 Sundays through Thursdays, down from $175.
