Friday was a mostly cloudy day around the North State, as moisture from former hurricane Marie streamed on into our area. These clouds will mostly move out Saturday, resulting in mostly sunny skies. Nothing but sunshine in our forecast to start off September.
High pressure will weaken a bit over the weekend in response to a trough of low pressure moving through the Pacific Northwest. That will allow our high temperatures to stay near average for this time of year. High pressure will gain strength early next week, which will send Valley highs to near 100 on Labor Day... plan the pool party! We'll slowly cool back down later in the week as high pressure weakens yet again.
