LOS ANGELES (AP) - Left-hander Scott Kazmir has agreed to a three-year contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Dodgers announced the deal Wednesday.
The three-time All-Star was among the top names left on the free-agent market after revitalizing his career over the past three seasons with Cleveland, Oakland and Houston. He went 7-11 and ranked fourth in the AL with a 3.10 ERA last season for the Athletics and the Astros.
The Dodgers lost right-hander Zack Greinke in free agency to Arizona, and they failed to close a deal with right-hander Hisashi Iwakuma, who re-signed with Seattle.
Kazmir returns to Southern California after crashing out of the majors during three seasons with the Los Angeles Angels in 2011. After recovering from injuries and playing independent ball, he returned to the Indians in 2013.
