Known gang members arrested in Chico on drug, weapons charges

Two Chico men who authorities say are known gang members were arrested in a major drug bust.

Agents with the Butte County Intreragency Narcotics task Force arrested known gang members Marcelino Siordia and Edgar Siordia as well as Liberty Ruelas after executing a search warrant March 13.

The three people were arretsed when detectives served a warrant at a 1294 Humboldt Avenue in Chico. Agents found three firearms, ammunition, more than 100 pounds of marijuana, evidence of butane honey oil (BHO) manufacturing, 281 grams of BHO, 185 growing marijuana plants, 54 grams of methamphetamine inside the home.

Additonally there was $1,820 cash and evidence of meth, honey oil and marijauna sales.

Marcelino Siordia, and Edgar Sioridia were arrested on a laundry list of drug charges and are also facing charges for their alleged involvement in gang activity.

Liberty Ruelas was placed under arrest for manufacturing a controlled substance, possessing marijuana for sale and possessing methamphetamine for sale.
