The Siskiyou County Sheriff's office is investigating the death of a Klamath River man whose body was found in the remote Forest Mountain area.

The body of David Perry, 69, was found Wednesday morning in the area of Soap Creek Road just west of SR 3 between Yreka and Fort Jones. Perry's body was found laying in the middle of the road. He'd apparently been dead for at least two days, according to Siskiyou Co. Sheriff investigators.

Deputies say there were not obvious signs of trauma.

Perry was one of 11 arrested last week in Siskiyou County in a multi-agency crime sweep. Perry was arrested for two violation of probation warrants and failure to appear. He was cited and released.

Investigators are hoping an autopsy will give them more answers as to what killed Perry.
