HARTFORD, CONN. (AP) - Kennedy cousin Michael Skakel wants to be released on bond now that a judge has ordered a new murder trial.

Skakel, the nephew of Ethel Kennedy, was convicted in 2002 of the 1975 murder of neighbor Martha Moxley when the two were just 15 years old and living in wealthy Greenwich, Conn.

A judge ruled Wednesday that Skakel's attorney failed to adequately represent him.
