SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —The man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend in Winters is being sought by authorities with the U.S. Marshals Service.
Police issued an arrest warrant for William Carl Gardner III, of Sacramento, on suspicion of shooting his ex-girlfriend in Winters Monday morning.
On Wednesday, the U.S. Marshals Service released new information, including the man's alias, Malik Mahammad.
Records in Yolo County show Gardner was awaiting trial there on charges of stalking and threatening the 32-year-old victim, Leslie Pinkston. She was found with multiple gunshot wounds in her car on Railroad Avenue.
