SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) —The California Highway Patrol has canceled an Amber Alert for two children who were previously missing from Nevada and then found in Sacramento, police said Saturday.

The children were with their mother, Amber Schenck, who flagged down police officers. Lillyanna Ramires, 9, and her 3-year-old brother, Martin Angel Rosales, were taken from the Elko, Nev., area Wednesday, police said.

The Elko Police Department was notified. The children were placed in protective custody and removed from the missing persons system.

Their non-custodial parents were accused of kidnapping the children.

Martin Cisneras Rosales, also known as Martin Cisneros, is about 34 years old, while Schenck is listed as approximately 30.

Police were concerned because the older Martin Rosales is said to have violent tendencies when dealing with officers.

A restraining order was issued in July to keep him away from his son. A court order was issued to terminate parental custody.
