Juvenile suspects arrested in beating of Oroville man

Sheriff's detectives have arrested two teens for allegedly beating and robbing a 64-year-old Oroville man Thursday evening.

According to the Butte County Sheriff's Office, two juveniles, ages 16 and 17, broke into 64-year-old Patrick Plaster's home on Oroville Country Club Road Thursday evening. The suspects, who investigators say knew Plaster, allegedly beat him up and then stole firearms his home.

Plaster was not found until Friday afternoon by a family member. He was flown to an out of area hospital with life-threatening injuries, however his condition has improved and he is expected to survive.

On Saturday detectives with the Butte County Sheriff's Office arrested the two teens. They were booked into the Butte County Juvenile Hall and face charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Great Bodily Injury, Elder Abuse, and Robbery.
