Jury selection will continue Tuesday in the trial of a Chico man accused in the random sniper-style murder of a man sitting at a stop light.
Attorneys spent most of the day determining which potential jurors were available for the three-week trial and didn't have knowledge of the high profile case.
Jeffrey Menzies is charged with murdering 26-year-old David Yang on the morning of September 21st, 2011.
Investigators say after a night of drinking, the 29-year-old decided to lie in the bushes at the corner of Highway 32 and Bruce Road and shoot the next person to drive by.
They say that person happened to be Yang who was returning to work at a local rehabilitation hospital.
Opening statements in the case are expected on Thursday.
If convicted, Menzies would face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
