Tuesday was another warm (hot?) day around the North State. We won't see much change until this weekend, when it'll get a bit hotter!
High pressure continues to dominate the west coast, and keep our temperatures just a bit above average for this time of year. Not much will change through the rest of this week... But the ridge will strengthen this weekend (and the delta breeze will shut down), leading to even hotter weather. Valley highs will range from 100 to 105 on Saturday, then begin to cool back down some, starting Sunday. By next week, high pressure weakens enough to return our temperatures back down to near average for June.
The Summer Solstice (beginning of Summer) is at 9:39 am PDT Sunday, which is also Father's Day!
