The heat continued around the North State today, but we'll see a bit of relief this weekend. A more substantial cooldown is coming late next week.
Strong high pressure pushed high temperatures to about 5 degrees above average today, but that ridge will weaken this weekend... allowing our highs to return to near average for July.
Moisture from former Hurricane Delores will stream into California early next week, but shower activity should stay south of us. It may feel a bit humid around here, though.
High pressure will weaken by the end of next week, which will allow us to cool down nicely. Something to look forward to after a hot July weekend ahead!
