July Fourth warning for pet owners

July fourth celebrations will include fireworks shows ... which are fantastic for humans, but scary for pets.
Many dogs suffer from anxiety or fear of loud noises, and during tomorrow night's big displays animal shelters around the North State are expecting some dogs will run away out of that fear.
"Northwest SPCA" officials tell us dogs don't know how to deal with the anxiety ... and many times will just run and run to get away from the noise, and turn up missing.
If you know your pet is afraid of loud noises, it's not a bad idea to get it micro-chipped.
It costs 20-dollars and the paperwork takes more time than implanting the chip.
