The Jesus Center, a Chico nonprofit that provides services to the homeless, has removed executive director Bill Such, citing a difference in opinions.

Such has been executive director at the Jesus Center for more than a decade.

According to a news release sent out Monday, the Board of Directors cited a difference of opinion on the future vision and direction of the Jesus Center as the reason for the decision.

“Bill Such has incredible gifts and a heart for the homeless population that has been evidenced at every turn.” said Ryan Vaught, Board President. “We have great respect for Bill as a person and are grateful for the time that he has served the Jesus Center and the larger community. We wish him every success in his future endeavors.”
