Fire crews in Oroville are investigating who may have started a fire in an unoccupied home early Thursday morning.

The Oroville Fire Department says a fire was intentionally started around 4 a.m. on the 2100 block of B Street in south Oroville.

The back of the home is destroyed, but no other structures were affected.

Investigators say burn patterns found in the home show the blaze was intentionally started. Squatters have been known to occupy the area, but investigators say they have no leads at this time.

No injuries were reported.
