A group of Chico high school students recently walked in the steps of history when they visited Selma, Alabama.
32 students from "Inspire School of Arts and Sciences" walked across the Edmund Pettus Bridge to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Selma march. Teachers say the trip is a way to really bring history to life.
Students say the experience was unforgettable and they will forever be moved by who they met and the sites they visited.
The students met Congressman John Lewis, Joanne Bland, and Reverend Clark Olsen, just to name a few of the people who marched across the bridge during the Civil Rights Movement.
