Two hikers are still recovering this morning after falling down an embankment on the feather river trail behind Feather River Hospital within less than twenty-four hours of each other.
One incident happened just after ten o'clock yesterday morning.
According to Cal Fire, the man was hiking behind Feather River Hospital when he fell up to twenty-five feet.
Rescuers say he suffered head and back injuries.
The other incident happened Saturday night, when another hiker fell in the same area and had to be airlifted to the hospital.
Gage Newton, who fell Saturday night called Action News Now this morning to tell us about his experience.
He says he suffered a partially collapsed lung and had seven staples to his head.
He also said he was released from the hospital last night and should make a full recovery in a few weeks.
