NEW DELHI (AP) - Rescuers are digging through wreckage in northern India where an express passenger train slammed into a stopped freight train near a station, killing at least 40 people and injuring 100.
Six of the cars on the express train derailed. Rescuers are trying to free people trapped under toppled cars and debris.
The station master has disappeared and is being sought.
