Temperatures were near normal for this time of year on Friday around the North State, and that should continue through most of next week.
There were a few mountain thunderstorms Friday afternoon as well, which will diminish after sunset. Those few storms will pop up again Saturday afternoon.
A small (but potent) disturbance will approach California Sunday. This will cause an increase in mountain thunderstorm activity from Sunday through Tuesday, including the possibility of one of those rumbling down into the Valley! Moisture may be limited, so dry lightning is a possibility as well. Look for high fire danger starting Sunday evening and lasting into Tuesday evening in both the Valley and the mountains.
