Hunt Continues For One of Butte Countyâ??s Most Wanted

This morning approximately six Chico Police Officers surrounded a converted apartment behind a private business on the 3000 block of South Gate Lane. They believed 32-year-old Ryan Davis, who is wanted in connection with a marijuana theft on Forest Avenue a week ago, was inside. Officers ended the standoff when they found strong reason to believe Davis was not in the apartment.

Officers continue their search for Davis this afternoon who they consider to be armed and dangerous.

Officers also detained a woman believed to be living in the apartment, but she has since been released and has been cooperating with the investigation.

On October 30, Chico Police Officers responded to a residence on the 900 block of Forest Avenue near Hwy 32 in response to a robbery at a legal marijuana growing operation. According to responding officers, two men stole some plants and later returned to the scene to steal more but were confronted time by a resident. Although guns were brandished during the incident, no shots were fired and the two suspects fled the scene.

Officers conducted a manhunt in the area but the suspects were not located.

Davis is currently listed as one of Butte County’s Most Wanted. He his wanted for robbery, assault with a deadly weapon charges, and violating the terms of his probation. Anyone with any information regarding Davis’ whereabouts is urged to contact the Chico Police Department.
