As of 6pm Monday evening, the Humboldt Fire in Butte County was declared 100% percent contained. The fire burned 23,344 acres and destroyed 74 homes. At least 20 other homes have been damaged. The cost of fighting the fire is at 11.5 million dollars. Paradise police say at least 10 residents have reported that their homes had been broken into. One victim alone reports over a $1,000 dollars in cash and other items stolen. The fire is expected to be contained today.
A premlinary damage report released from both the Ophir and Humboldt Fires total 16.3 million dollars. That includes 12.5 million in struction damage, and thousands more in agricultural damages.
The total cosdt of fighting the blaze stands at 11.5 million dollars.
