Early this morning the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at Lima’s Pharmacy on Harrison Avenue in Eureka.
The call came in just after 4:22 a.m. and a Deputy arrived three minutes later. The Deputy checked the main building which was secure, but he noticed the door to a smaller building behind the main building had been kicked in. The inside of the building had been ransacked.
The pharmacy owner notified investigators that the building was used to store non-narcotic medications, but was not immediately able to determine if anything had been stolen. At approximately 10:15 a.m. he called investigators and reported that there were numerous non-narcotic medications missing.
The owner, who is a pharmacist, said that anyone taking these medications that were not prescribed to them could have serious medical issues or even death.
Anyone with information on the case should call the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office at 707-445-7251 or the Sheriff’s Office Crime Tip line at 707-268-2539.
