House Democrats make final push to kill Obama's trade bill

WASHINGTON (AP) - Many House Democrats say they plan today to vote against a measure to retrain Americans who've lost their jobs because of international trade.

The Democrats say they're willing to sacrifice a favored program in order to bring down an entire package that would give President Barack Obama fast-track trade-negotiating authority.

Such authority would let Obama present Congress with proposed trade agreements that lawmakers could either ratify, or reject, but not change.
