ncreasing clouds, and hot temperatures are ahead for your Thursday. Temperatures are projected to be slightly hotter than yesterday, with most areas either at, or just above average for this time of year. Valley areas are starting out in the mid to high 60's this morning, and mountain areas dipped into the high 40's to mid 50's. Afternoon high temperatures are projected to climb into the mid to high 90's this afternoon, and mid to high 80's in the valley. Winds will start off light, but will increase to around 10mph out of the Southeast this afternoon. Humidity levels will still be low, and that will leave the region under elevated fire danger.
Temperatures will be a couple of degrees cooler on Friday, but will stay around average for the time of year. Clouds will continue to increase on Friday, and the potential for light showers will arrive in the Northwest corner of the state on Friday night. The chance for light showers will spread through the entire north state on Saturday, and temperatures will fall to the mid 80's in the valley. The chance of showers will taper off Saturday night, but below average temperatures will linger into the middle of next week. I hope everyone is ready for the cooler weather, and has a great Thursday!
