Today was a warm and windy day around the North State! We'll see the winds diminish overnight, but even hotter weather is coming tomorrow!
Valley highs warmed into the lower and middle 80's today, and north winds gusted 30 to 35 mph. Those winds will subside overnight, and not return tomorrow. The warm weather will... in fact, it will reach around 90 in the Valley tomorrow for the first time this year!
But this is just a warm weather tease. Thursday will still be warm, but not as much... look for highs in the middle 80's as high pressure weakens.
Low pressure to our south will pump lots of subtropical moisture northward by Friday, which will cool us down dramatically! Valley highs will drop into the 70's on Friday with cloudy skies and a chance of a brief shower. Our highs will only reach the upper 60's by Saturday, with a better chance of showers! Quite the turnaround in temperatures over the next few days.
We'll stay mostly cloudy and unsettled into next week, with Valley highs near 70. So if you like the warm weather, enjoy the next couple of days... big changes are coming after that!
