Tuesday was another hot one around the North State, and we've got more heat coming our way. Cooler temperatures should return next week.
High pressure is strong and getting stronger over California, and that's sending temperatures through the roof. Everyone in the Valley should be in the triple digits Wednesday, with highs ranging from 100 to 105. The heat will peak on Friday, with 103 to 108 degree high temperatures! At least these longer September nights are allowing our overnight temperatures to drop back down quickly. High pressure will break down next week, allowing our temperatures to cool back down to near average then.
Some clouds from the remnants of Hurricane Linda (currently off of Baja) may sneak into the North State this weekend and early next week... but only enough to put a bit of a veil over the sunshine.
